Randy Thomas – President & Executive Director

Randy retired from the United States Army in 2016 after almost 26 years of service. He is a husband, father, retired Command Sergeant Major, Army Ranger, and Intelligence Professional with eight operational deployments and 18 years of experience providing intelligence and operational support to various US Special Operations organizations. Randy began working as a private investigator and security consultant in early 2017 with the ambition of providing bespoke services and client-driven solutions. Since entering the private sector, he has been passionate about professionalism, integrity, character, and cooperation throughout the Security Industry. He has experience in close protection, physical security, threat analysis, investigations, workplace violence prevention, and open source intelligence. As the president and founder of our agency, Randy pulls from the experience of the entire leadership team to direct and guide all aspects of our contracts and cases while ensuring the professional growth of our Executive Protection Agents, Investigators and Security Consultants. He takes a professional and personal interest in each case while collaborating with the entire team to (1) ensure the care and concern for our clients is consistently promoted, that they (2) have an exceptional client experience, and (3) their needs and requirements are satisfied to the best of our ability. Randy completed a Master of Arts in Leadership Studies at the University of Texas at El Paso, and maintains Florida “C” Private Investigator and North Carolina Private Investigator licenses.

David “Brent” Perley, CPP – North Carolina Director of Operations & Senior Field Investigator

Brent retired as a Special Agent for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) with over 30 years of federal law enforcement experience in criminal investigations, including extensive leadership and managerial skills developed while leading investigative groups and task forces. He held assignments within DHS Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), Immigration and Nationalization Service (INS), and United States Border Patrol. Brent also has over 26 years of leadership and management experience as a career Commissioned Officer in the U.S. Army National Guard and U.S. Army Reserves. He is a decorated Combat Veteran, having honorably served in Operation Desert Storm (1990-1991) and Operation Iraqi Freedom (2003-2004).  As the North Carolina Director of Operations and Senior Field Investigator for our agency, Brent manages all case work in North Carolina and is directly responsible for the professional development of all investigators in the agency. He has experience in crisis planning pertaining to the protection of high-level executives in the government and private sectors, workplace violence prevention, physical security, and domestic and child custody investigations. He completed a Bachelor of Science in Law Enforcement at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia, maintains a North Carolina Private Investigator License, earned a Certified Protection Professional (CPP) certification from the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS), and is in the process of applying for his Florida “C” Private Investigator License.

Rafael Figueroa – Director of Sales and Client Services

Rafael spent six years in the United States Marine Corps and is a proud Combat Veteran of Operation Desert Storm. During his time in the Marine Corps Active and Reserves components, he served as an ammunition specialist and weapons instructor for both Infantry and Marine Special Operations units. Rafael successfully completed rigorous Mountain Warfare, Artic Cold Weather, and Jungle Warfare Training. Immediately following his military service, Rafael attended Berkeley College in New York City and completed his Bachelors Degree in Hospitality and Business Management. He went on to work in some of New York City’s most renowned hotels for over 20 years. He worked closely with VIPs, celebrities, high-level politicians, and served as liaison to city, state, and federal law enforcement. Rafael also provided various types of training to include: Personal Security, Active Shooter, First Aid & CPR, Bomb Threat Awareness, Surveillance and Surveillance Detection, Riot Control, De-escalation Techniques, Crowd Control, and various reporting formats. Rafael is uniquely suited to handle all aspects of Client Services at our agency. His dedication and positive energy serves to enhance the overall client experience, and he consistently exceeds expectations. Rafael is in the process of applying for his Florida “CC” Private Investigator Trainee License. He is bilingual, speaks and writes Spanish, and handles all of our internal and external communications with our Spanish speaking clients.
